He could even get used to all the new rules and expectations. Making is bed? How hard could it be?

Author’s Notes: When approaching consent for this fic, I wanted to make use of the conversations the characters had to explore things like consent in the context of celebrities/fantasies, consent now doesn’t mean consent later, and the difference between verbal and implied No/Yes. I also wanted to show an example of mixed messages, like saying no even when physically aroused. Overall, I wanted to show consent as an ongoing conversation that addresses more than a one dimensional question of “sex: yes or no?”.

Author’s Notes: Thank you so much to the fabulous mods for coming up with this fest! I’ve had a ton of fun writing for it! Also, ten thousand thank yous to my lovely beta for whipping this into shape! The terms ‘reasonable person standard’, ‘quid pro quo’ (and its definition), as well as talk of behavior that ranks as ‘severe, pervasive, and of a sexual explicit nature’ are concepts written about with credit to Knowing Your Rights: Sexual Harassment in the Workplacefrom CBS This Morning. That said, this fic – though I tried to do a halfway decent job in writing some aspects of the seminar – isn’t meant as a PSA on workplace sexual harassment. I just loved how the prompt gave me a chance to write consented-for role-play of sexual harassment. I thought that was so ingenious and perfect for this pairing!
