This WattPad poster has reposted Twist of Fate by me (Oakstone730), Mental by @captn-sara-holmes, and Secret’s in the Telling by Sakuri. I don’t recognize the other titles that they’ve posted but they are likely are stolen as well.
Feel free to comment on the fics to call out the plagiarism.
Figment, the recently closed writing website, has just launched (after a long delay) their long-awaited successor to figment known as Underlined, where users can post their work and receive feedback, supposedly.
DO NOT USE UNDERLINED. DO NOT POST YOUR WORK ON UNDERLINED.
Underlined’s terms and conditions contains a clause stating that the rights to all your work that you post on their website belongs to them!!!!
Underlined belongs to Penguin Random House. This is an extremely dirty trick for them to play on writers, especially young writers and children, who come to the internet to get feedback and will lose the rights to their work. Please boost!!!
For my writing friends looking for an online writing community, DO NOT USE Underlined.
I went to confirm @greater-than-the-sword‘s post, because seriously publishers are still pulling this garbage? And yes, they are. If you want to check out the full terms and conditions, have at it. They are full of writers’ nightmares, a few of which I’ll highlight under the cut.
I played Sharpay in my school’s production of High School Musical (I’m a 6ft tall guy) and I shared the part with this girl who looked nothing like Sharpay either. Instead of having one of us play Sharpay the first night and the other one play it the following night, the first person would run off in the middle of the scene and the other one of us would run on the stage and finish the scene. Also, all the costumes were only in her size.
nothing saddened me more than reading what blog this came from
I’m still not over the fact that Hermione Jean Granger managed to snag a famous international quidditch star as her date to the yule ball like. This is the FUNNIEST SHIT. Hermione isn’t even into quidditch. She didn’t even do anything. Viktor Krum just fell for this 15 year old muggle-born girl who spends all her spare time in the library and had never heard of the most famous quidditch player in the world before her best friends took her to the world cup. AMAZING.
On that note every single boy Hermione has dated in canon is a jock. Amazing.
Half the notes on this post are people asking if Ron counts as a jock and I fucking lose it every time. Ron was more excited about Harry getting on the quidditch team than Harry was.
Not to mention her best female friend is Ginny, who is a huge jock. Hermione has massive jock appeal. Even the guy she feigned interest in (Cormac) was a jock.
