The advertising drive was launched to raise awareness of what the company described as the “ongoing undercover policing scandal where officers have infiltrated the lives, homes and beds of activists”.
The campaign was cancelled because they “fear for the safety of their staff”… let that sink in.
It’s a UK story btw
OP’s post still stands, but as a Brit I’d like to point out that much of the intimidation was apparently carried out by ex-police and members of the public too. This is not just about the police as a body, but a cultural phenomenon where valid criticism of the police always gets backlash.
When you’ve been abused by a parent like that dealing with anything afterwords is terrifying.
I can only imagine the emotions Zuko was feeling when he apologised to Iroh there.
^This is one of the reasons that I think going in to apologize to Iroh is one of the bravest things that Zuko’s ever done, because of how much it must have terrified him to do so (Iroh would never hurt Zuko like that, but that fear had to have been at the top of Zuko’s mind at this moment)
And why I love Iroh so, so much for being who he is.
