Its a double whammy today

You know that “Have You Seen This Snail” episode of Spongebob where Gary ran away from home and ended up with this old Lady that kept feeding him? And he freaked out when he found a closet full of broken snail shells?

I could never really figure out if it was implied she ate all the snails she had or that she overfed them and they died when their shells burst/from overfeeding
