#okay so sophie’s story in this film is so important #she goes from not thinking she’s beautiful #which metaphorically results in her curse #and when she’s cursed to look old she’s sorta freed from beauty standards #she no longer needs to care about her appearance #and that freedom allows her to break her own curse when she finally realizes she is in fact beautiful
