Does this mean that there was a version of the movie where that didn’t happen to Thor? Sorta how there was a version of Avengers 2 where Quicksilver didn’t die?

Or do you think this was just to not give anything away in the trailers? Like how they smudged Bucky’s eye makeup so that people couldn’t tell he was the Winter Soldier
