assortedtale:

Please Please Tell Me What They Looked Like

Did they Seem Afraid of You

They were kids that I once knew

They were kids that I once knew

Piece I’ve been sitting on for a while and finally decided to post! I positively want to get into my headcanon for Chara’s backstory and by god I will

im wondering about how humanity, despite everything, is still associated with goodness in undertale?

in a genocide route, flowey says you’re not really a human. sans asks you to continue pretending to be a human for his brother. undyne can tell that you aren’t just going after monsters, but humans too. asgore can’t even recognize you as a human and asks what sort of monster you are.

even though the humans trapped the monsters underground, and by all means have done terrible things, humanity still has some sort of inherent goodness associated with it, and killing people results in a loss of that humanity.
